OUR CULTURE

By Maggie Jentian

I am of  Miali and Dalabon tribe and our culture is very strong we handle most of the cultural beliefs in Barunga teaching generations law and culture, we often go to Beswick, or Bulman for main ceremonies.

There are mixed cultures involved in the community itself, but we try to teach and learn each other at home or just around the fireside when we have family gatherings, parties and BBQs etc.

But above all of the cross cultural happening around us we still are a part of Jawoyn People and Barunga because it is in our blood our spirits and hearts
