Sports Results
Over 700 people from all over the Territory came to the Barunga Festival to compete in football, basketball and athletics.
The highlights of the day included a major upset in the football with the Numbulwar Eagles winning the Anthony James Lee Memorial Trophy.
In an exciting basketball competition, the men’s title went to the Daguragu Eagles and the women’s competition was won by St John’s College.
The competition on the track was intense.  The men’s Barunga Sprint winner was Duwayne Murrungun from Numbulwar, and the winner of the women’s title was Yvonne Wurramurra from Gapuwiak.  The Barunga Mile was won by an Englishman, Lee Martindale and Kath Boyd from Darwin took out the women’s mile.
Congratulations to all those who competed!
